Richard’s Adventure was developed in 48 hours for the 2020 Global Game Jam where the theme was “Repair”

The game involves an airship pilot purchasing parts to build his ship, and then attempting to keep it afloat as he journeys to his destination. A lot of time was spent on the airship editor, so unfortunately the core gameplay was left pretty hollow. The game does however present a complete experience that can be won or lost featuring wonderful art by the talented Melissa Madamba.

If more time were to be spent on it, it was supposed to play more like Oregon Trail where Richard travels across the land and continually updates his ship, but the constraints of the game jam necessitated the narrower scope of the final product.
